The little town Soncino ( Cremona)°

Laura | 1 luglio 2017 | travel in Italy | Nessun commento

I ‘m surprise when we discover some nice places also near to us

I wanted to make a day trip just to go out for a day from a city . I needed to find a place not so far from Milan but interesting to visit.

I have been fascinating by the beauty of the castle in Soncino and I told to myself – this is the right little village I wanna discover!

 soncino

Ci siamo diretti a Soncino.

Primo grande vantaggio: è facile parcheggiare rispetto alla grande città. Già si parte molto bene!

We have gone to Soncino. In addition here it is very easy the parking. That’s a great beginning!

The castle is simply amazing. It was built in XV century but it is well preserved

This castle has one round tower that break the squared balance of  the all structure. Anyway all is harmonious.

Even if this town seems little there are many places to visit.
After the castle, we have gone to the museum of  print.
In this museum you can try to print by yourself a page

Caspita!

It is very nice to write with an old pen make with a plumage.
In the little museum in the San Giacomo cloister you can write with traditional pens made by plumage on some wooden tables.
You have to plunge the pen in the ink .
It seems easy but we always use the computer and the smartphone.
I needed 10 minutes to write a letter. Gosh!

In these little villages the life is more relaxed than the big city . Do you know what happen at the lunch time? Soncino becomes a ghost town. All the people go home or at restaurant to eat.

We have to return to choose the countryside for our holiday. Our ancestors did this choice in the past the we have forgot this kind of vacation following some exotic or trendy places. Anyway it could be nice to have an holiday – in dispite of this frenetic life- relaxing and discovering some little villages and the nice landscape the countryside can offer us

What about Soncino? You can visit all the museums , the churches, the streets, you can do a bit of shopping of traditional products ( there are many local company that offer local products).

You can also make some nice ride at bicycle or some walking. You can taste the local food with a quality wine. Then you can take a lot of naps and you can enjoy the kindness of the local people. You should not underestimate all these!

Here some pics just to introduce you this nice little town
